Obiano inspects International Conference Centre, gives April as deadline

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has revealed that the state-of-the-art Anambra International Conference Centre will be ready in April, 2020.
Governor Obiano said that “the project will have the full complements of a world-class facility. It will be used for both international events with the capacity to boost the state’s IGR, creates economic activities that will generate jobs and wealth for the people as well as improve the aesthetics of the territory.”
The Governor disclosed this during his sudden visit to the site to inspect the level of construction work going on in the site.
Gov Obiano noted that the centre had the capacity to accommodate over 11,000 people and would house world class restaurant, kitchen, and sports facilities among others.

During the inspection, it was observed that sand filling of the building had been completed, while concreting and majority of the pillars had been erected and well positioned.

In their separate interviews, Commissioner for Housing, Architect Mike Okonkwo, and his Works counterpart, Engr. Marcel Ifejiofor, said it would have accommodating space of 3500 cars.
They noted that they had completed the difficult stage, as the present stage would be faster, so ad to deliver as scheduled.
