I will get rid of criminals in Zamfara – New Air Officer Commanding

The new Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Special Operations Command of the Nigerian Air force, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Napoleon Bali has vowed to get rid of criminals in Zamfara and surrounding states. AVM Bali who promised difficult time for criminals when he assumed duty made the promise during the handing and taking over ceremony in Bauchi on Tuesday. He said, “The command will ensue that every citizens of this country goes about his normal business peacefully, especially our brothers in Zamfara and the axis”. Adding that, “the outgoing AOC has done a lot to ensure that all the combat operations have succeeded. I will add value to what he has done to restore peace in some trouble areas of the country”. “We are going to work together to sustain what the outgoing AOC has put in place. We will make sure people go about their normal businesses peacefully and will get rid of criminals especially in Zamfara and surroundings”. He further said. AVM Bali while pointing out that the command is deeply involved in combating crimes in those areas enjoined senior officers and men to be professional and maintain a high level discipline in line with the Chief of Air Staff Sadique Abubakar tenure. “The outgoing AOC had briefed me on how he kept the operations going on in the command. I will not fail to thank him for all his efforts to ensure that crime rate is low and trouble-makers did not have a foothold in the command,” Bali said The outgoing AOC, Air Vice Marshal Samson Akpasa had earlier said that he strived hard during his tenure to add value to the Command both in its discipline, professional procedures and physical structures. Akpasa who urged officers and men of the command to extend the same co-operation and discipline accorded him to the new AOC, thanked them for supporting him to excel in his operations.
