PTAD pays N1.56bn to 500 Nitel/Mtel pensioners’ next of Kins

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has paid the sum of N1, 565,190,623.12 billion to 500 Next of Kins of the deceased Nitel/Mtel Pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme. The Next of Kins who are beneficiaries of deceased Nitel/Mtel Pensioners who died after service have completed the process of documentation and have been cleared for payment by the Federal Auditors. Executive Secretary of PTAD, Sharon Ikeazor, said that the timely payment was achieved through diligent verification exercise conducted by Directorate to authenticate genuine Noks before payment was made.
