Again, notorious cult group kills family of five in Ikorodu

The notorious cult group, popularly known as Badoo group, has struck again, killing a family of five in the Itamaga are of Ikorodu Lagos.

The family, which included the father, mother and their children, were attacked in the early hours of Sunday May 28, 2017.

The victims whose names were given as, Isreal Olusanya, the father who is 45; Rukayat Olusanya, pregnant wife who is 39; and the children Joseph Olusanya, Esther Olusanya and the unborn baby, were said to have been be asleep when the cultists attacked.

On the scene investigation revealed that the suspected cultists had torn the window net, cut off some burglar-proof bars of the victims’ house before gaining access into the house and smashed their head with grounding stone, killing them all.

It was however gathered that the bodies of the victims were only uncovered in their house when neighbours who became suspicious because they hadn’t seen them all day till about 12noon forced their door open only to find them in the pool of their blood.

A source at the scene of the incident who, for fear of been attacked refused to mention his name, said the cult members killed the pregnant woman and then opened up her womb and took the foetus.

He said: “The excesses of the group is becoming unbearable; because they have been responsible for the killing of different families in Ikorodu and its environs and they are also known for using different objects like grounding stone, pestle to attacked their victims.

“The cult groups, after killing the family they tied their faces with black clothes before escaping from the scene, leaving the residents in shock government should intensify more efforts in getting rids of the killers in Ikorodu.”

A neighbour to the deceased who also spoke in anonymity disclosed that four suspected members of the gang had been arrested by the local vigilantes.

In his words, “after the killing, some local vigilantes went into the town in search of the gang, and four of the suspects were arrested and handed them over to Imota Police Station. But to the surprise of the policemen three of the suspect while making confession and started vomiting blood.

“The policemen was said to have stop the other suspect, who was yet to make his own statement from doing so, so as to prevent him from vomiting blood, while the remained of the deceased was deposited at the Ikorodu general hospital mortuary.”

Speaking on their mode of operation, he also said, “the gang’s mode of operation was to undress themselves when they get to the area where they want to operates and rubbed their bodies with used engine oil from head to toe and force themselves into their targets house.

“After the gang force themselves into the house of the victim, they rape the pregnant woman in the presence of her husband, they took turned to kill the family members and used white handkerchief to clean the woman private part.”

Sauces have it that the Father of due for burial on Wednesday, while the wife will be laid to rest on Friday.

You may recall that the same cult group had on May, 10 at Isiwu town in Ikorodu killed a mother and her daughter in like manner.

In another case, a student about to write his West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate and his parents were also brutally murdered at Ibeshe also in Ikorodu on April 6, 2017.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), ASP Olarinde Famous –Cole who confirmed the incident via a text message said the command has launched investigation into the act to apprehend the culprits involved.
