– The duration of this medical trip is yet to be announced as the president awaits his doctors counsel President Buhari departed Nigeria on Sunday night, May 7 to continue his medical trip in the United Kingdom.

This is the third medical trip the president is embarking on since he assumed office in May 2015.

The last time the president travelled for a similar trip earlier in the year, he spent 51 days which generated debates among Nigerians as to his capability to function effectively in office.

Staunch supporters of the president are however backing him with prayers, insisting that his sickness is just due to his old age.
