6,000 children attend Cowbell Chocolate summer camp

No fewer than 6,000 fun-loving school children attended the 2016 Cowbell summer camp, called “Chocademy”.
Brand Manager, Cowbell Choco, Promasidor Nigeria, Kingsley Onuoha, disclosed that the brand hosted the participating children in this year’s edition of the ‘edutainment’ program in Makurdi, Enugu, and Ilorin.
According to him, the six-day summer camp opened in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, on Monday, August 8, 2016 and came to a close on Saturday, August 13, 2016. He said the summer camp also held in Enugu between August 15 and 20, 2016; and then moved to Ilorin, Kwara State from August 22 to August 27, 2016.
His words: “The summer camp was designed to engage and educate school children during the long holiday. Spending the summer holidays learning outside of a customary school environment can help pupils/students get ahead of their classmates when they return to school; as skills acquired during the summer programme can enhance their leadership, athletic and academic opportunities.
He said the idea behind Chocademy was to bring together children with diverse cultural, religious affiliations and social classes to a healthier, moral, social learning field where aerobic exercises, knowledge-sharing, moral education activities is undertaken among others.
