2016 guber: Your Destiny’s in your hands – Ogiemwonyi tells Edo people

The Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Engr. Chris Osa Ogiemwonyi has said that the coming congressional election in June by the party will determine whether or not Edo people have truly taken their destiny in their hands.
He made the assertion while addressing the party’s delegates from Edo south senatorial district.
He stated that people who acquire power through the back doors are accountable only to their masters.
He promised to wipe out poverty from the state by engaging the unemployed youths who have certificates into the civil service, while those who do not have certificates will be inducted into the skill acquisition programme which he will establish and at the end of the programme, such category of persons will be given N5 million naira loan at 0% interest rate payable after one year.
“I will industrial Edo State by creating two industries/factories each in the 18 local government areas of the state, activate the more than 12 abandoned industries as well as revisiting the contract of establishing the Gele Gele seaport so that the rate at which our youths are migrating to
Lagos and overseas to search for greener pasture will be reduced and people will be migrating to Edo State instead,” he stressed.
He pleaded with the delegates to vote for a man with experience, whose previous endeavour created opportunities for others to excel, who has the people at heart, a man who is capable of transforming the state.
“You should not be intimidated by desperate moneybag politicians who are at the verge of trading off the state patrimony and our people’s future to external forces,” he said.
