10,000 Adamawa youths pledge support for Bindow
Over 10,000 youths drawn from 200 Non-Governmental Organisations and socio-political groups in Adamawa State have expressed satisfaction with performance of Governor Umaru Jibrilla Bindow as Executive Governor of Adamawa state.
Coordinator of the youths, Abdullahi Bakari, said concerned progressive citizens of the state particularly, the youths who have assessed the current happenings in the state, decided to come together under the platform of ‘Team Bindow’ to support the administration.
He said the organisation which is independent of the government will try to give moral and financial support to Governor Bindow’s administration where necessary to demonstrate its unalloyed desire for the governor to succeed.
He said “We have seen that our Governor is the best so far for Adamawa; therefore, our group is all out to project and protect his good works and to encourage him to continue to keep his promise to the people.
“The people of Adamawa, under the capable leadership of Governor Jibrilla Bindow, are not only seeing light at the end of the tunnel, but they are looking at the sun shining brightly.”
Sen. Silas Zwingina who chaired the formal unveiling of the ‘TEAM BINDOW’ NGO praised the state governor for his road construction effort and dismissed claims that the organisation would be funded by the state government.
“Team Bindow I understand is an NGO with over 10,000 registered members comprising of over 200 support groups which already exist and have been working together in support of the governor.
I am particularly delighted that the various groups who source their fundings privately have decided to come under one platform in demonstration of their support for the governor. It is important that we understand that they are not being sponsored by the Governor instead they have pledged to support the governor even financially where necessary,” he added.
