10 Corps members get extension of service, 19 to remobilise in FCT

Coordinator of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hajiya Walida Isa, has called on former Corps Members to endeavour to uphold the spirit of patriotism, selfless service, loyalty and humility which the scheme has impacted on them during their service year.
She made the call yesterday during the passing-out from service of the outgoing 2018 Batch “B” Stream One Corps Members in Abuja.
While congratulating the corps members on their successful completion of the service year, she urged them to contribute their quota towards transforming the society through the various skills acquired during the course of service.
Hajiya Isa expressed optimism that if they utilize what was learnt it will help them to become self-reliant and wealth creators bearing in mind that white collar jobs are scarce to get.
She also disclosed that no fewer than 19 corps members are to repeat service year for absconding from service while 10 gets various months of extension for abandoning their service for months.
