The People Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of manipulating election results in the Government House.
PDP Chairman, Mr Francis Orogu, who made the allegation Tuesday while briefing journalists at the party’s secretariat, said APC government in the state has been using the command centre for years to carry out atrocities, especially thumb printing and hacking into INEC website to change result sheets.
According to Orogu, “it is longer news that there is room in government house caledl command centre and controlled by one Hamza Elayo, to create confusion through manipulation of election results in favour of ruling party.
“We opposition don’t have right to go government house to search by ourselves but we want to the formed INEC and tell the whole world about it.”
Expressing those APC candidates knew that they are unpopular to win the 2019 election therefore relied in the said Command Centre to win elections as usually done in 2011 and 2015.
Orogu, who thanked the INEC for blocking all leakages ahead of the forth coming election, which made the ruling party to resolved into taking to the street to protest against state INEC of siding the PDP in the recruitment of ad hoc staff.
“INEC should disregard the said protest organized by some youth from Doma LGA. All what we are saying is the justification of the fact that they do not have the opponents to fulfil their dirty plans in the command centre blocked, and that is why they are attacking INEC now.
“So, I have confidence in the INEC at the moment. I have nothing to doubt the capacity of INEC, either do I have anything to also doubt the security operatives in the state.
“In the last meeting with INEC and all political parties including APC, nobody raised any issue on this matter, so what they are doing now is after thought, because their plans in command centre will fail,” he explained.
Orogu then called on all those who think can manipulate election results as usually done in the past should know that there time is over.
