Zinchenko handed Ukraine call-up

BRIEFS
Oleh Gusev and Artem Kravets failed to win a place in the Ukraine squad for Euro 2016, but teenage star Oleksandr Zinchenko was included by Coach Mykhaylo Fomenko. Zinchenko, 19, on Sunday became the youngest goalscorer in an international game for Ukraine by netting in the 4-3 friendly win over Romania, beating the record of former AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko. Ukraine were drawn in Group C for the tournament in France alongside world champions Germany, Northern Ireland and Poland.
Ledley fit for Wales squad
Joe Ledley has been passed fit for Wales’ final squad for Euro 2016. The Crystal Palace midfielder suffered a broken leg in the Premier League clash with Stoke City on May 7 and was a doubt to be included in Chris Coleman’s plans. However, the 29-year-old has recovered sufficiently to be named in the final 23-man squad that will travel to France for group games against England, Russia and Slovakia, who they face on June 11. Wales take on England in Lens on June 16 before facing Russia in their final Group B game four days later.
Injured duo return to make Hungary squad
Krisztian Nemeth and Tamas Priskin have proved their fitness after being named in Hungary coach Bernd Storck’s 23-man squad for Euro 2016. The duo were both named in Storck’s provisional squad despite carrying injuries and did not feature in the goalless friendly with Ivory Coast earlier this month, but they have recovered sufficiently to be part of Hungary’s return to the international stage. Experienced duo Gabor Kiraly and Zoltan Gera will also travel to France, where Hungary will play Portugal, Iceland and Austria in Group F.
