Yahaya Bello promises massive infrastructure before second term ends
Kogi state Government, Yahaya Bello has promised to ensure “massive” infrastructural development before his second term in office elapses.

In a statement on Sunday, Mohammed Onogwu, chief press secretary to Bello, quoted the governor as saying this while speaking at a thanksgiving mass at Christ Christ the King Catholic Church, Okene.
The mass was held to commemorate his victory at the supreme court.
Recall that Daily Times reported last week that the apex court dismissed the appeals filed by Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Natasha Akpoti of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Bello, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as winner of the governorship election in November 2019, but his opponents challenged his victory in court.
The governor said with politics over, he is now “fully focused on governance” as his administration seeks to consolidate on its “first term’s modest achievement”.
According to him, his administration is committed to ensuring the peaceful co-existence of all residents in Kogi “to help the government actualise this lofty desire”.
Bello said the state government recognises all religions and ensures fair and equal treatment to them all.
He urged all clerics in the state to preach peace to all their followers, “irrespective of their dispositions”.
