Women Group assures Ganduje of more participation in Tinubu’s administration

National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has assured Nigerian women of 100 percent participation in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s led administration.
Dr Ganduje made this remark when the Forum of APC Former Zonal/State Women Leaders, paid him a courtesy visit at the Party’s National Secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja.
He said the APC will make more women to participate in its activities and governance, while commending women resilience and seriousness in affairs of the country.
“We thank you for this solidarity today, and we assure you, APC will make women, participate in all our activities throughout the year.
“I have not forgotten you, you are qualified to do whatever we want you to do. I can see some of you, legal luminaries, medical doctors, engineers, quantity surveyors, administrators, and even politicians.
“So, whatever we are looking for, for active participation in APC we can get, in you women.
“We assure you, we are coming out with initiatives and party programmes for women; the National Women Leader is here with us, she’s highly educated, and she can design important programmes for women to participate in our party activities which, we will implement all over the country.
The former Governor of Kano State further acknowledged that, women form bulk of participants in voting, during elections, adding that, ‘no woman no election’ because, women are more in numbers and produced the highest votes in all our polling unites.”
“We assure you, we’ll include you in the forth coming elections so that you’ll participate in elections in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States.
“Not only that, we’ll not forget you during political appointments. Our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is so conscious of women, so, don’t think you are left behind,” he noted.
Earlier, the former women leader, South-South zone, Dr Racheal Akpabio, while congratulating Dr Ganduje on his emergence as the party’s National Chairman, said women are the tripod on which APC stood, therefore, appealed for members of the Forum to be considered for party and national tasks.
“Sir, under you the woman had the opportunity to participate in politics. This visit serves as a congratulation and our appreciation for what you have done for the party and women. As former leaders, we are not tired, we still have the capacity to serve.

Also speaking, APC National Women Leader, Dr Mary Alile appealed to Ganduje and the National Working Committee, (NWC) to engage women actively in governance.
She disclosed that since her assumption of office she has received series of complaints from women of working for the party without having anything to show.
“Mr Chairman, I have only been in this office for less than two weeks, and the only thing I hear is women complaining bitterly about the fact that they’ve worked and worked, and there’s nothing to show.
“Please sir, I want you to look at us as the women wing of the party and do something. When our mothers are complaining, it means something needs to be done,” she said.
