Woman raises alarm over son’s whereabouts

The family of one Mr Vincent Onyekachukwu Udeze has cried out over his whereabouts.
This is also as the police have since declared him wanted.
Onyekachukwu, from Irefi Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State is alleged to be a prominent member of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Onyekachukwu’s distressed mother, Mrs Ebele Udeze, who spoke to journalists, lamented that ever since security agencies invaded the community, Anthony and his co-members of the IPOB, have not been seen anywhere.
The widow lamented that even while her son’s whereabouts remain unknown, the security forces were still coming daily to torment her life.
According to her, “the last I heard from my son was on May 5th, 2022.
“On that ill-fated night, security agencies had issues with the IPOB members.
“So, they stormed the community and claimed it was being used as a hideout by IPOB members.
“They rained bullets in my house and killed my husband, Levi Udeze; even one of my sons, Obinna is still in hospital owing to bullet wounds he sustained. They also killed other people in this village.
“They bundled my son, Vincent, after shouting that he must be one of those sponsoring IPOB.
“That was how they bundled him and many others into their vehicles; before then, five persons had already been shot, including a woman.”
She said every effort she made to locate her son had proved abortive as there was no record of him in any police station.
Mrs Ebele, added that she was still searching for his son, urging the security agencies to release his son dead or alive.
