Wike dissolves 17 LG caretaker c’ttees

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has dissolved the caretaker committees of 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
The dissolution was contained in a statement issued by the Special Assistant to Wike on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu.
The statement said the dissolution takes immediate effect.
The statement reads, “Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has dissolved the Caretaker Committees of 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
“The dissolution of the Caretaker Committees takes immediate effect.
“The following are the Local Government Caretaker Committees dissolved by the Governor:
Abua/Odual, Akuku Toru, Ahoada East, Andoni,Bonny, Eleme, Emohua, Etche, Ikwerre and Obio/Akpor.
“Others include: Ogu/Bolo, Okrika, Ogba/Egbema /Ndoni, Omuma, Oyigbo,
Port Harcourt City and Tai.
“The statement directs all the Caretaker Committee Chairmen are to hand over to the most senior officials in their respective councils.”
