Why I’m in Kwara – CP Egbedokun

The new Commissioner of Police has resumed in Kwara State. He is CP Kayode Egbedokun, Daily Times, can confirm. The new police boss promised to be fair to all irrespective of their political differences and provide level playing grounds for all contestants in the forthcoming general elections. He stated this at his maiden press briefing held at the command headquarters on Sunday. “I believe in the rule of law. I am here to discharge duty, protect my honour and integrity. It doesn’t matter where I have worked before. It doesn’t change my character. “I am here to protect lives and property, human right protection and to combat criminals. There is no hiding place for them here in Kwara. They have two choices; either to relocate or change their ways of life.” He however assured Kwarans of the total readiness of men and officers of the command would be professional in their conducts stressing that, “I am going to run an open door policy.” Egbedokun therefore warned media practitioners to avoid spreading of fake news capable of causing disunity in the society.
