We will reclaim our stolen mandate from PDP in A’ Ibom – Ekere

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom, Obong Nsima Ekere has assured supporters that the party is working hard to restore their mandate given by the people in last week National Assembly election but robbed by agents of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Ekere further assured supporters that the Vice President, Prof Osibanjo has shown readiness to assist them intervened against the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to declare three senatorial Districts and 10 Federal Constituencies for PDP in Akwa Ibom.
Addressing APC supporters in Uyo yesterday during the victory celebration of the success of President Mohammedu Buhari in the just concluded Presidential Election, Obong Ekere maintained that the reason anybody wants to use INEC to subvert the will of the people is that they don’t trust themselves.
“Yesterday while they were collating result from International Conference Centre in Abuja, I received a call from the Vice President. I reported to the Vice President that they connived to change our result; he said I should not be worried as we have received security report from Akwa Ibom.
“I am here to tell our party supporters in Akwa Ibom that the Egyptians you see today, you shall see them no more. They change our votes; they did their own. Now we know them.”
He recalled that during the campaigns APC traverse all the nooks and corners of 31 council areas in the state and the people assured that they needed change.
“Never in the history of politics in Nigeria that we witnessed the magnitude of votes buying displayed by PDP in Akwa Ibom during the last election”
He said PDP government impoverished the people, hoard money only to bring it during election noting that the common wealth of the people would be accounted for when the times comes.
Ekere regretted that PDP imported thugs from neighbouring states with state fund lamenting that the hoodlums would become nightmares in the state as politicians would soon leave them to feign for themselves which they take to violent crimes.
He advised supporters to turn out in good number during the governorship election to defend the will of the people as Akwa Ibom would be save during the poll.
