USA: The flaws and Donald Trump

According to Advanced Oxford dictionary, the word flaw means a weakness in somebody’s character. Everybody has some measure of unfinished business in life. Perhaps, it generates from his or her childhood; if it cannot be overcome when young, it becomes a part of one’s life. Our actions in public manifest what we are.
Black suits cannot cover our manners and public ethics. It is very irritating to see a man who can be a state governor or member of the academia, wrestle with this intruding weakness.
To be normal and hygienic in language gives one a status in the society. However, it is not easy to acquire such status if you have the wealth of Donald Trump.
The society will not bother if you do what you like, but if you want to be a leader or public figure, you must measure up to social propriety. The society is there to invade your privacy. Your comportment, manners, view of life will be mirrored by many. If you are already on the ladder of progress and disconnect, they will know; if you repeat yourself often while speaking, the society is there to record you.
If you are a man who builds walls of hatred, they will know. If you build bridges with people, you can score a mark. If you are a man who talks behind others, they will see it. People expect you to be responsible and not cover your weakness with a mask.
Masquerading gives you an ugly presentation of yourself. You may portray another “Persona” in you. Perhaps, the only way you can pretend to be like others is to dominate any conversation. This attitude has placebo effect.
We cannot play away our life even though we cannot control what is inherent that makes us not to be like others. It is called “Obanle” in Yoruba dialect. It is in the family.
What makes you lose touch with yourself? We know that we are all different. We need not be of the same thought because life also is controlled by logic. We are judged by society’s norm.
Donald Trump has been noted to be using harmful stereotypes to reinforce racism. Some people see his argument as tasteless and monotonous. We cannot use joke to cover our flaws. There are many watching and can detect those flaws.
Camera does not heal dysfunctional behaviours, only one’s movement in an environment. We should always act like the mother of St. Augustine whose flaws as a growing child broke the heart of his mother. The only choice was for her to run to God for a complete overhaul of Augustine, now a giant spiritual icon.
The mercy of God is limitless. The reason why we are targets of other people is that we do not make sincere efforts to look into our weaknesses and hand them over to God. We need to take a quick glance over the problems that dominate our lives. The man with flaws can create division and incite people.
How can we be devoid of weird qualities that make us unable to meet up with social expectations? The worst thing is an added temperament…like Donald Trump! Being temperamental denies us of many things. Political opponents of Trump use his weak points to score political points. Trump uses his wealth to show case his personality and the world is analysing him. Even the media knows Trump too well; hence, he attacks them without knowing it is risky.
There are flaws that make us not to be acceptable in any circle. These flaws are irritating and put an indelible mark on us.
Clinton — ‘that every time, she thinks of Trump she becomes allergic. This means that a person who speaks anyhow, and forgets is not healthy to deal with.
Many of us have that Trump flaws. He mocked at the disabled and is ‘Islamophobic’. He accused Crux’s father of assassinating President Kennedy. Trump has unfavourable impression of women. Today, any man in authority or one seeking power needs to be diplomatic and flexible in handling issues of social concern. One should not be shipped into a tradition that divides. Many leaders have the Trump’s syndrome.
The flaws in Trump motivate him to filter America from ‘dirty people’ from other parts of the world. In fact, there is no way we can cover some of our defects without people detecting. Trump polarises America by his negative campaign strategy. This appeal filters into the minds of traditional Americans who love racism and many of us who indulge in tribalism.
Today, churchmen are in the same league with Donald Trump. On a visit to America, Pope Francis I, said, “I am a son of an immigrant, everyone is an immigrant.”
This is a stint.
