Unfavorable policies of Tinubu’s reforms

The convener, Good friends network for PO, Mr chigbo nwafor yesterday, insisted that the reforms of Mr President, bola Ahmed tinubu is not people oriented, he emphasised that the primary objective of any government is the protection of lives and property.

By extension, to make life easier but the reverse is the case.

Mr nwafor called on the administration of bola tinubu to consider the sufferings of the people by having a second look at his reforms that is already snuffing lives out of Nigerians.

Amongst those reforms re:
Fuel subsidy removal, increase in electricity tariffs, floating of naira, telecom tax on phone calls, Government levies on bank deposits, stamp duties on transfers amongst others.

Rather than unleash avoidable hardships on Nigerians, Mr nwafor suggested the following:
Government ought to have considered cutting down it’s frivolous spendings, blocking all government revenue leakages, eliminate crude oil thieves, fix local refineries, Institute public financial management system, stop nepotism by putting round pegs in round holes, ( appointing competent hands in public services).

He insisted that those in power should be seeing to be tightening their belts same way as the ordinary people, otherwise Nigeria should expect more kidnapping and other forms of criminalities.
