Michael Graves will no longer face Sergio Moraes in their planned bout at UFC Fight Night 100 after an arrest for misdemeanor battery.

The UFC today announced the situation via an official statement.

Graves (6-0-1 MMA, 2-0-1 UFC) and Moraes (10-2-1 MMA, 4-1-1 UFC)  were set to face off at the Nov. 19 card at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo. The event airs on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass, though the event’s bout order hasn’t been finalized.

“The UFC organization is aware that Michael Graves was arrested over the weekend on a misdemeanor battery charge,” the statement read. “The organization takes this situation seriously and is in the process of gathering more information.

“Graves has been removed from his scheduled bout on Nov. 19 as a result of the pending legal matter.”

Graves recently suffered the first blemish of his career, settling for a majority draw against Bojan Velickovic at UFC 201. He was a competitor on “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 21 and picked up victories in his first two trips to the octagon.

Further details on the 25-year-old American’s arrest were not made available.
