Trump to drive an “energy-dominant” continent

US President Donald Trump is confident in transforming America into an energy-dominant society, the Financial Express reported.
Addressing energy industry heads and state and Native American leaders at a White House roundtable, Trump said: “I’m confident that, working together, we can usher in a golden age of American energy dominance and the extraordinary financial and security benefits that it brings to our citizens, not only the Native Americans, but all over the country.”
The Financial Express reported that the President has plans to exploit the continent’s vast untapped resources.
“Today’s conversation is a chance for these state, local, and tribal leaders to discuss how we can cooperate and support them even more in unleashing these domestic energy reserves,” Trump said.
He added: “They’re tremendous reserves that we never appreciated, we never understood, but now we understand them very well.
As part of this energy strategy, Trump said: “I don’t want to be energy free, we want to be energy dominant in terms of the world.
“From my first day in office, we’ve taken swift action to lift the crushing restrictions on American energy.”
Earlier this month, Trump, announced that the US state had withdrawn its participation in the 2015 global Paris agreement to fight climate change.
The President emphasised the economic damage that such an agreement would have on the American nation.
However, Reuters reported that Trump will consider negotiations to re-enter the Paris accord or to have a new agreement “on terms that are fair to the United States, its businesses, its workers, its people, its taxpayers.”
