Total Nigeria pays N12 dividends, as Nguer quits board

It was all smiles on Friday for shareholders of Total Nigeria Limited at the 38th Annual General meeting of the company when it declared a dividend of N12. The shareholders were also told that their dividends would be paid beginning today Monday June 13, 2016. This much was disclosed by outgoing chairman of the company, Mr. Momar Nguer.Speaking in an emotion-laden speech, Nguer commended the shareholders of the company for support and understanding with the company in times of plenty and crisis. His words, “It has really been wonderful working in this great country since I resumed work here and I can say that our shareholders are one of the most tolerable in the world.

The company will continue tom strive to maintain its enviable standard and make its shareholders happy as always.” Speaking at the event, Chairman of Auditors Committee, Chief Timothy Adesiyan, expressed the appreciation of the shareholders with the company. Said he, “We as shareholders are happy with the performance of Total PLC especially the distribution of the products.  Even there is always fuel in their stations. They do not hoard the product. We are also happy with the way their attendants attend to customers at their various filling stations., “ “As far as dividends is concerned we are very happy, despite the fact that 2015 was a very tough year for business performances especially again the indebtedness of the company as a result of non-payment of subsidy in time. Because of proper management of resources by the company they have been able to give the kind of dividend they declared today. We are happy with them indeed,” Adesiyan said.
