Tiwa Savage’s advice to women divides fans

Social media is agog over ‘Queen of Afrobeats’ advice to women. Tiwa Savage, during an Afrobeat concert held recently, advised women to make their own money and emphasised on self sufficiency.

In her words, “Men will break your heart anyway, so it is sweet when you spend your own money.

Somebody’s Son crooner said this after giving her audience a sultry move by shaking her buttocks. She maintained that, “I’m not encouraging runs. It’s better to cry with your Christian Dior and Birkin Bags.” Savage advised women.

Her last sentence sparked off controversy as some of her fans accused her of encouraging prostitution.

Raymond C. laughed and accused Savage of having a heartbreak after her failed marriage.

“Hahaha! all I see is the pain of a woman who inspite of her fame, riches and acclaimed beauty, men both young and old ‘don’ use her heart do ‘gbas gbos’. So now, she’s looking for persons to drag down along with her.”

Another person, Priscilla Chuks, accused men of being gold-diggers like men. “As girls Dey find rich guys na so rich guys Dey find rich girls. That’s a match energy.”

Excellency Cornel accused the superstar of being a bad influence to women.

“Bad influence. Why not advise them to work.” But Olumide Ajoke tackled Excellency for lacking comprehension of what Savage said.

“Damn, listening is one thing, comprehension is another….”

The multiple award winning singer, song writer and actress performed at the coronation party of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in Britain this year.
