Suspension of Edo traditional ruler meant to humiliate Anenih- group

Edo State chapter of Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Tuesday condemned the one year suspension slammed on the Onogie of Uromi, His Royal Highness(HRH) Anslem Edonogie 11, the Ojorumi of Uromi , saying the action of the Comrade Governor was orchestrated to humiliate Chief Tony Anenih, former PDP Board of Trustees Chairman who hails from the constituency .
State Chairman of CRPP, Dr Samson Isibor, described the suspension as outright display of impunity, an affront on the traditional institution, politically motivated to harass and intimidate imaginary opposition in the state
“The outgoing Governor’s action as usual is to spite an elder statesman, the well respected Iyasele of Easnlan, Anenih and the people of Esanland for not voting for APC in the last governorship election”
“The suspension order is absurd when Oshiomhole has less than seven days to leave office. The Governor should go peacefully and allow Edo people to continue with their lives once again,” he said.
He, therefore, called on the Governor elect, Godwin Obaseki, to rescind what he termed the unpopular and provocative action of the Governor more so as the embattled woman allegedly assaulted by the traditional ruler had since reconciled with the palace
