Nigerian manager Gernot Rohr is an ardent Bayern fan, Rohr represented the bundesliga club from 1972 to 1974
While speaking from the Super Eagles camp in Poland, Rohr wants Poland captain Robert Lewandowski to ignore bids from Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid amid speculation linking the striker with a departure from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window
He said; ”I support Bayern so I want him to stay. It’s still a big club,” Rohr told Przegląd Sportowy when asked if Lewandowski should stay or leave Bayern Munich.
Rohr added : ”I think it’s too low (his Golden Ball position). He deserves the podium. To be fully appreciated, he lacks great success with Poland at the World Cup or the European Championships.”
Gernot Rohr believes 30-year-old Lewandowski deserves to win the Golden Ball.
The striker, who is in full form to play against the Super Eagles on Friday, has scored over 140 goals for Bayern since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.
