StarTimes recruits graduate trainees to enhance youth employability in Nigeria

Desirous of enhancing youth employability in Nigeria, Leading Digital pay-TV service provider, StarTimes has disclosed that it is closely working with the SOS Children’s Villages to recruit 10 graduate Trainees at its Lagos and Abuja

StarTimes and SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will see the two organizations partner towards supporting vulnerable families, with an emphasis on the empowerment of young adults, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Speaking on this engagement, The Public Relations Manager of StarTimes, Kunmi Balogun noted that “The country’s population is fast increasing, with a projection of 411 million by 2050 and so is the pressure of job creation.

StarTimes Group has a commitment advanced towards empowering and imparting knowledge and skills to the next generation while creating meaningful jobs.”

According to Kunmi, “One of the interns we recruited last year have been given permanent employment in Lagos.

Since we commenced providing affordable digital Pay-Tv in Nigeria, we have invested heavily in the development of youths and children in the country. Partnering with SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria gives us a better opportunity to drive our CSR effort towards making Nigerian youths more competitive globally in their chosen career by affording them a quality learning ground.”
