Cameroun legend Rigobert Song is expected back home in Cameroun on Saturday according to reports.
Song has been in France since October 2016 when he was airlifted in critical condition after suffering from a stroke.
The plane carrying the legend is expected to touch down on Saturday evening at the Younde International Airport shortly after 9:00pm EAT (10:00CAT).
The 40-year-old was admitted to La Pitie Salpertriere Hospital in France after falling unconscious in what doctors at the hospital termed as suffering a cerebral aneurysm in October at his home.
The football world was quick to unite in support of the popular ex-player, who won 137 caps for Cameroun and a gold medal at the 2000 Olympics.
Song also had spells with English clubs Liverpool and West Ham.
Before his sickness, he was working as a coach for Cameroun following his departure as Chad coach.
