Solidstar releases ‘Wait’ Refix

 

Achievas Entertainment front man, Solidstar has released the visuals to his smash hit, ‘Wait Refix,’ featuring Mavin’s first lady Tiwa Savage and dance hall wiz, Patoranking.

Directed by Avalon Okpe, the video sees appearances from guest artistes, Tiwa Savage and Patoranking, who re-enacted their on screen chemistry from the smash hit, ‘Girlie O’.

Speaking about the video release which comes ahead of the launch of his 3rd studio album, “Weed”, Solidstar remarked: “It’s not often I get to have that much fun shooting a video and I know my fans are gonna love it. I enjoyed every second of working with Tiwa and Pato because it was LIT!”

 

Yung6ix shades B-Red

Exactly four month ago when Davido Worldwide Music (DWM) act cum brother B-Red threatened to beat up rapper Yung6ix any moment they cross their paths, few days ago, Yung6ix threw a shade on B-Red as he named his parrot same name as the DWM artiste.
He shared a short clip on the story sharing site writing, “Our Parrot, his name is B Red, Nigha scared AF. 6ix just came in.

The drama between Yung6ix and B-Red started in February 2016 when the South-South rapper Yung6ix went on a Twitter rant threatening to expose some big names in the music industry for injustice.

However, it’s not clear if B-Red’s rant is related to Yung6ix’s earlier threat. But, it seems like there is an unresolved beef between the two.

DJ Nana gets featured in popular newspaper, New York Times

Celebrity female Disc Jockey, DJ Nana, recently got featured in popular US Newspaper, New York Times. In a photo news by international award winning photojournalist Andrew Esiebo tagged Life with Nigeria’s Party People, DJ Nana was captured during one of her exhilarating performances at the annual Jimmy Jump Off concert organised by Veteran DJ Jimmy Jatt, whom she mastered the art of DJ’ing under his tutelage and mentorship.

The New York Times Newspaper captioned her as “DJ NANA, Nigeria’s top female D.J on the turn table during the annual Jimmy’s Jump Off concert”. DJ nana was also nominated as best female DJ in Nigeria at the 2016 Nigeria Entertainment Awards NEA

How Alade Aromire inspired my career – Lola Faduri

US-based actress, Lola Faduri has just completed a multi-million naira movie that is set to wow lovers of Yoruba movie industry and good movies at large.

Lola Faduri, who is also a medical practitioner in the United States, started her career in 2001 under the Odunfa caucus, shot the movie titled ‘Ayanmo’ and it features Yinka Quadri, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Mustapha Sholagbade and Abimbola Ogunnowo amoong others. The movie and another titled, ‘Ife Odale’ will be marketed by Okiki Films.

However breaking through in tough terrain of movie business was an adventure for Lola as she has to rely on advice and lessons learnt from late Alade Aromire and her boss, Yinka Quadri.

“The late Alade Aromire was my mentor too. He told me to always believe in myself and never give up regardless of anything. So when I travel abroad and left acting for a long time to focus on another career in the medical field, I constantly remembered his advice. This made me further my education as an actress. I got admission and studied Acting for film and I graduated with Associate of Fine Art from the renowned NY Film Academy”, said Lola.

The recipient of Yoruba heritage Awards has featured in Yoruba movies like Kofo the First Lady; Adisa the Tailor; Egbin; Ola inu kan; Majemu America and English productions namely, Scores, Against all Odds and The hurdle.

 

Mr. 2kay dazzles in new pictures

Music sensation, Mr. 2kay has released some sizzling hot pictures. The breathtaking pictures shot by popular cinematographer and photographer, Adamsgud sees a few touches to Mr. 2kay’s appearance; with his dreadlocks more defined and lustrous.

The theme of the shoot is apt as it portrays both the emotional and physical aspect of the auspicious singer. One of the pictures has Mr. 2kay smiling as he reclines on a balcony railing with a blurred display of the waterside. This powerful imagery depicts the success story of Mr. 2kay who grew from the humble beginnings of the waterside to mega stardom. Other visuals delineate Mr. 2kay as a passionate and music driven artiste with backgrounds ranging from luxury to the stark beauty and wonder of nature at its luminous best.

The Grafton records artiste released his EP, “Count it all Joy” some months back. So far, it has received rave reviews and massive airplay on many platforms.
