Senator Osinowo says Sen. Muse was a loyal, committed, APC member, as Apapa council chiefs mourn


The Senator representing Lags East Senatorial District in the upper legislative chamber, Senator Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo has described the late Senator Muniru Adekunle Muse as a loyal and dependable party man who was committed to the progressive ideals till his breathed his last early Tuesday.
This is just as the Chairman, Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and his Apapa Local Government, counterpart, Hon Adele Elijah Owolabi also expressed their sadness of the death of the former two time chairman of Apapa Local Government
Senator Osinowo stated this via a condolence message from his Media Office on the death of the former senator.
He said, “He was a hugely experienced man, full of wisdom and a man committed to the progressive ideals. Although he died at an advanced age of 80, we were not prepared for this because just two weeks ago, he was full of life celebrating his 80th birthday.
“But who are we to question Almighty Allah? He deemed it fit to take him away from us at this particular point in time,” the Senator said.
The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries stated that Senator Muse would not only be missed by his immediate family members, but all progressives particularly members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
“We will surely miss his wisdom and experience. His death, at this point in time, in spite of his age, is sad for us. But who are we to query Almighty Allah?
“I pray that al-Janat Firdaos is his final abode. I pray that Almighty Allah gives the family and the entire APC in Lagos State the fortitude to bear the huge loss,” he said.
Speaking on the late Muse, Hon. (Dr). Funmilayo Akande Muhammed said, “today, We lost a great man of letters and academic icon, a political juggernaut and an undisputable leader in Apapa Federal Constituency and Lagos State at large, Sen. Muniru Muse to the cold hand of death.
The Local Government Chairman, on behalf of the entire Staff of the council commiserated with the Muse family and the entire people of Apapa Federal Constituency over his demise.
“With broken hearts but smiles and resignation to the Almighty Allah, we pray that Allah will grant his entire family and his love ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
Also in his condolence message, the Chairman of Apapa Local Government said, “On behalf of the Executive committee, Legislative arm and management of Apapa Local Government, I Hon Adele Owolabi Elijah sympathise with Muse Family ,the Late Sen. Alhaji Muniru Adekunle Muse who was once a formal Executive chairman of Apapa Local Government between 1999/2002 before the carving out of Apapa-Iganmu LCDA, he was also the leader in Lagos Central Senatorial District, a member in the Nigeria maritime sector
“The Almighty God gives and takes, who are we to blame our creator, life is a stage which everyone has to undergo: A puzzle to solve and a journey to end.
“It’s indeed a sad experience to lose a loved one. May Almighty God give the family strength and the fortitude to bear the loss.”
