Senate confirms Wakil Bukar as FCSC Commissioner

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed the nomination of appointment of Engr. Wakil Bukar as a Commissioner in the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).

The confirmation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s nominee followed the consideration of a report of the Committee on Establishment and Public Service upon the screening of Bukar.

Presenting the report, the chairman of the committee, Sen. Ibrahim Shekarau (Kano Central) said the nominee responded favorably to questions asked during screening.

He said no negative report was received from security agencies and that no petition was received on the appointment of the nominee.

Shekarau said, “the nominee satisfied requisite legal requirement and the committee having being convinced of his qualifications and cognate experience, recommend Engr. Wakil Bukar to the Senate for confirmation”.

Consequently, the Senate upon consideration and adoption of the report, confirmed the appointment of the nominee.
