SDP flag bearer assures on electoral success

Ahead of the September 22, governorship election in Osun State, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) says they are ready and fully equipped to take power from the present All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration in the state.

The SDP at a stakeholders’ meeting held between the Party torchbearer, Senator Christopher Iyiola Omisore and leaders of SDP from the 30 Local Government Councils and the area office of the state, said the party was fully prepared to win the forthcoming election going by its level of preparedness and awareness.

The SDP governorship candidate said that the idea that a particular senatorial district should produce the next governor of the state was not only uncalled for but a mere derailment from true democratic settings and norms and calls for change in our political systems.

He said that the condition that have made people to believe that Nigerians are enemies of one another were as a result of hunger and poverty and vowed to reverse the trend if given the opportunity to lead the state in the coming election.

Omisore called on the people to vote massively for the SDP, stressing that ‘it is the only credible party with a formidable candidate that will food on the tables of the people of the state’.

While noting that the party’s victory was predetermined and destined by God, Omisore added that if given the chance to govern, he would diversify the economy of the state through wealth creation and agriculture in order to redirect the people’s minds from over dependence on white collar jobs.

Reacting to APC allegation that the SDP supporters Vandalized Oyetola bill board in Ile Ife, Otunba Omisore said that such was a mischievous claims aimed at portraying the leading SDP and its governorship candidate in bad shape.
