Royal Intern’l, others bankroll Taekwondo, T/Tennis in CRS schools

The Royal International Farms and Estates Limited in partnership with First Royal Micro Finance Bank and Triple Star Printing Press Limited have indicated intension to sponsor two major championships in Cross River State.

The championship includes Calabar Open Taekwondo and Calabar Primary and Secondary Schools Table Tennis Championship.

Disclosing this to our correspondent on Thursday, the General Manager of Royal International Farms and Estates Limited, Usen Umoh said it was a way of giving back to the society and also engaging the youths and students in effective and productive ventures in order to turn their energies into more positive ventures.

He said: “Budding stars and young talents in taekwondo will be expected to participate in the 1st Calabar Open Taekwondo Championship as well as Calabar Primary and Secondary Schools Table Tennis Championship.

We intend to use the two championships to discover new sports talents in the state and groom them for national, continental and international glories.”

The Taekwondo Championship is billed to hold from January 19 – 21 at Kolanut Centre in Calabar, while the Table Tennis Championship will hold from February 8– 10 February at Hope Waddel Assembly Hall.
