Road construction: Rep provides palliatives to Agbado community
Worried by the state of roads in his constituency, a member of House of Representatives, Hon Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka, has brought a relief to the residents of Agbado community and environs in Ifo local government area of Ogun State, a palliative measure to a deplorable seven-kilometre road which connects a number of the communities.
The road named after former Governor, Aremo Segun Osoba, has been a burden to both motorists and residents for over five years. The ugly development was also said to have adversely affected businesses and economy in the community and environs.
However, following a Save our Soul (SOS) letter written by the community to the federal lawmaker, he responded swiftly and decided to take it upon himself to address the problem by grading the road with laterite.
Isiaka, who’s a member of All Progressives Congress (APC) told newsmen that commercial activities had been dull, as vehicles, particularly commercial ones, avoid the road to avoid getting trapped in some of the craters on it. The road is a link between Ogun and Lagos states.
