Reggery Gravenbeek’s Transformation Proves Nothing Is Impossible

Reggery Gravenbeek: Early Life And Teenage Years

Reggery Gravenbeek is a man of principles. He has built his life from scratch and does not shy away from sharing bits of his past that he is not proud of.

The streets of Rotterdam have always been a thriving hub for criminal activities. By the time he was 17, he was already on the streets selling drugs. Later, he was accused in a shooting case and was sentenced to 12 years in prison, along with charges of drugs and weapon trafficking.

This was when he realized his mistakes and pledged to change his life. His good behavior in prison led to a decrease in his sentence and he was released after seven years.

Life After Prison

It’s common for people to go back to their old life of crime once they leave prison. Reggary Gravenbeek, had no money, shelter, or skills to get a job. However, he didn’t let these hurdles make him give up.

Soon after he was released from prison, he got work as an extra in a film, due to his friend’s help. After that, he acted in supporting roles and made guest appearances on a movie and TV show. Soon he realized that it was filmmaking and the work behind the camera that was his true calling.

His Journey As A Filmmaker

Reggery Gravenbeek’s first work as a filmmaker was De Druk. It’s a story that depicts his own life and shows how wrong decisions can lead to the streets and crime. The film was made as a part of a judiciary project which aimed to highlight social issues.

His next movie is based on the life of drill rappers. The film exposes sections of society that no one seems to be concerned about.

Reggery Gravenbeek has faced several hardships in his life. However, instead of letting them define him, he chose to learn from them to help others in need. Rising rates of criminal activity among youngsters are a matter of grave concern.

He guides ex-prisoners and disillusioned young boys on the right path through his association with Team Ankleband, in an attempt to keep them away from street crimes.
