Prominent Nigerians Storm Ilorin For Olusola Saraki’s 4-year Remembrance Prayer

Dignitaries from all walks of life yesterday thronged Ilorin, the Kwara State capital to participate in the fourth year remembrance prayer for the late political icon, Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki.
The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and some federal lawmakers had arrived in Ilorin Sunday afternoon to put finishing touches to the preparations for the prayer.
Kwara State governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed led the pack of dignitaries that attended the prayer which was held at Saraki’s residence at Illofa road, GRA, Ilorin.
Others included the Senate Deputy Leader, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, Senate Minority Whip, Senator Phillip Aduda, the chairman, Senate Committee on Media, Senator Abdullahi Sabi and Senator Baba Kaka.
Others were Senators Mohammed Sha’aba Lafiagi and Rafiu Adebayo, members of the House of Representatives from Kwara State, Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly,Dr Ali Ahmad, Ambassador Nimota Akanbi and Ambassador nominee, Professor Muhammad Gana Isa.
Also in attendance were members of the State Executive Council, state chairman and executive members of the All Progressives Congress, former local government chairmen, traditional rulers and Islamic clerics.
At the prayers led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir, they prayed Allah to forgive the late Olusola Saraki and grant him Aljanah fridaus. Sheikh Bashir also prayed Almighty to guide and guard the Senate President in his political career. In his sermon, the Grand Mukadam of Ilorin, Sheikh Sulaiman Dan Bornu urged those in power to impact positively on the lives of the masses as Saraki did.
