Politician kicks against money politics in Zamfara
An astute Politician, Hon. Bello Abdullahi Sadaunan-Gwaram, former Zamfara state director general of Gusau central market has kicked against money politics calling political leaders to focus on tackling insecurity within the state.
He made this known at Talata Mafara Local government while addressing the political group of Rt. Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji a member representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin MAGAJI Federal constituency in the House of Representatives and Governorship aspirant under APC come 2027 general elections.
In his words Honourable Bello said the issue of money politics is never a solution to the current challenges faced by the state, the state and federal government should put the security agencies together to ensure the safety of life and property of the people and avoid engaging themselves in acquiring several votes from people who lack both federal and state government coverage in the face of bandit attacks.
He noted that, the same Kaura Namoda South where federal might was enforced to secure votes for the candidates of their choice was the same same area where citizens where abducted by bandits and kept for days without any intervention from both the state and the federal government and later, more than 35 were slaughtered like animals and other 48 shot dead.
The people of this area have been facing serious assault from bandits and other criminal elements and there was neither federal nor state might available to rescue them.
It is so disheartening that the same area was made safe for what is now tagged the most free, fair and credible election process with AIG Muhammad Husaini Gumel on the same grounds where several lives were destroyed to inspect the bye-election exercise.
Honourable Bello Gwaram called on the President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal to rise up together and pull the similar might for the safety of the people of the area because the bandits the feared the presence of Federal and state security agencies during the election exercise would again return to ravage, disturb and kidnap the people of the area.
He called on the citizens of Zamfara state to support the aspiration of Rt. Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji as the only way out of insecurity, poverty and other voices facing the state.
