Police deploys plainclothes personnel for Easter festivities in FCT

The Commissioner of Police Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bala Ciroma has assured residents of the territory of adequate security during the Easter festivities that are scheduled to begin this good Friday.
Ciroma said that the Command has adopted adequate security measures that would guarantee a hitch free Easter feast celebration in FCT.
Some of the measures, he said includes massive deployment of plainclothes and uniformed Police personnel to churches, shopping malls, gardens, motor parks and other areas that have been identified to be beehive of activities during festivities.
He said the command has taken proactive measures through operation Puff Adder to combat crimes in all the area councils, along all streets, major roads across the FCT connecting to other States.
The Commissioner of Police has also directed all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to provide water-tight security at all Churches and recreational centres located within their respective areas of responsibility.
In his good will message to Christian in FCT, Ciroma enjoins residents to be security conscious and continue to partner with the Command through the provision of timely information on suspicious and strange persons hibernating around them.
