Police Declares Fleeing Gay Suspect Wanted After Escape From Custody

The Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police has declared one Odide Zabayor wanted after he escaped from its custody over his involvement in homosexual practice on March 30th 2024.

Recall that the fleeing suspect and his partner were earlier apprehended and tortured in Igogika community in Edo State for desecrating their land .

A statement made available to journalists in Benin City stated that Odide Zabaypr who was immediately taken into custody after he escaped being beheaded by angry youths in the community, was nowhere to be found when the protesting youths of Igogika besieged the police station demanding that he be released to them to make him pay for desecrating their community.

It further said that while a ransom of 5million naira had been placed on his head, members of the public are by this information advised to report at any nearest police station any information that could lead to his arrest or whereabouts.

Meanwhile the fleeing Odide Zabayor was declared wanted on April 2nd by the Edo State Command of the Nigeria Police for violation of the Same-sex Prohibition Act which attracts a minimum of 14 years imprisonment upon conviction .
