Plateau peace agency asks Nigerians to support FG

The Director General of the Plateau Peace Building Agency, Mr Joseph Lengmang, has asked Nigerians to support the Federal Government in ensuring peace in the nation.

Lengmang made this call on Thursday during a one day summit on farmer-herder conflict held in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

“The citizens have a major role to play in securing peace in this nation. Government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility,” he said.

With the theme “Developing a Responsive and Sustainable Mechanism for Peaceful Resolution of the Farmer-Herder Conflict in Plateau”, the Pace DG said it is now a collective responsibility as opposed to the usual traditional approach in the past, where government wield the stick alone or deploy security forces into trouble zones.
