Plateau gets new INEC resident Commissioner

An indigene of Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Mallama Hussaini Pai, has been appointed as Plateau state resident electoral Commissioner.

This was contained in a press statement Wednesday, signed by the Commissioner Head of Department (HOD), voter education/publicity, Mr. Osaretin Imahi Yereobo and made available to our correspondent.

The statement added that, Mallama Pai who also served as Commissioner in the Prof. Attahiru Jega-led Commission is an educationist and a seasoned administrator.

Mallam Pai is an alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University and the University of Jos, who had served as the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ekiti State (February 2011- December 2014) and Kogi State (January 2015 –February 2016).

He also had additional responsibility of supervising elections in Oyo, Ondo, Anambra, Taraba, Kano and Belyelsa States and in October 2015, he led a team of INEC observes to the Guinea Presidential Elections.

Mallam Pai was before his first appointment as Resident Electoral Commissioner in 2011 held several positions in the Federal Capital Territory.
