Pillars receive Gambo, Murtala boost

Kano Pillars have received boost for today’s league game at Giwa FC with the return from injury of skipper Gambo Mohammed and defender Adamu Murtala.
“Gambo has fully recovered from an ankle injury and Murtala is now set for his first league game this season after he was certified fit following a long-term foot injury,” Pillars spokesman Idris Maliawa said.
Gambo suffered his injury during a recent league game at Giwa and has missed his team’s last two matches as a result.
In the meantime, new signing Omo Johnson has begun training after he fractured his foot in the opening game of the season against Enugu Rangers.
