PDP suspends Senator Kashamu Buruji

The National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Senator Kashamu Buruji for one month.
The party did not give any reasons for his suspension.
But The Daily Times gathered that the development might not be unconnected with several litigations Buruji has dragged the party into.
The senator, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, is said to be the brain behind the crises of the Ogun State Chapter of the party. There are also allegations that Buruji is planning parallel convention on Saturday.
Buruji has also been accused of joining forces with Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and allegedly engaged in anti-party activities.
But Buruji could not be reached to affirm the veracity of the allegations as he was not present at the convention.
Efforts to speak with Buruji also proved abortive as several calls made to his phones could not connect at about 2pm.
