PDP spokesman tasks Buhari to change his failed economic policies

Former Minister of state for Works and Publicity Secretary of the National Caretaker Committee, NCC, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Dayo Adeyeye has pleaded with the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government to use this Christmas period to have a rethink on its economic policy in view of the hardship being faced by Nigerians.
Prince Adeyeye also advised the APC- led federal government to reflect on all its campaign promises of making
life better for Nigerians.
The Publicity Secretary particularly tasked President Muhammadu Buhari to change all his failed economic policies and engage the services of experts to pull the country back from drifting into economic depression.
The statement by Adeyeye reads: “As we celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ, I wish to use this opportunity to charge adherents of the Christian Faith nationwide and Ekiti State in particular to be mindful of their religious vows which
include giving to the less privileged and loving one another.
“The Birth of Jesus was a significant event in the history of mankind as it demonstrates God’s interest in the revival of our moral values and dedication to the fulfillment of the will of the Almighty God.
“My Christian brothers and sisters in Ekiti State should therefore eschew bitterness, violence and rejoice in the Lord with expectation for the rebirth of our dear nation, Nigeria and our dear Ekiti State.
“I wish to however advise us to moderate on our style of celebration during this Christmas season since it’s a ceremony to mark the Birth of Christ and to reflect the life style that Jesus left behind. It is also very important to for all Nigerians to reflect on the current economic recession in the Country and pray to God for his mercy to save us from this predicament.
“Finally, I wish to plead with the Federal Government of Nigeria to use this Christmas period to have a rethink on its economic policy in view of the hardship being faced by Nigerians. The APC led federal government should also reflect on all its campaign promises of making life better for Nigerians.
“I particularly tasked President Muhammadu Buhari to change all his failed economic policies and engage the services of experts to pull the country back from drifting into economic depression.
Congratulations once again to all Christian brothers and sisters in Ekiti State on this auspicious occasion with a plea for sober reflection”, he said.
