PDP decampees to APC have lost relevance – Sen. Orji

The Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial zone in the Senate, Senator T.A Orji, on Sunday, lambasted PDP faithful who decamped to APC as having lost political relevance and not capable of winning any political election in Abia State.
Speaking during a town hall meeting in Umuahia, the state capital, Sen. Orji observed that it was better to be in mega/opposition party and make positive impact than being in the ruling party, which in actual sense, cannot make any positive change.
Sen. Orji, who regretted in the recent time that he has been a subject of criticism by those he described as agents of darkness, vowed never to be distracted in his chosen career.
He used the opportunity to disclose that during period under review, he sponsored twelve bills and moved ten motions.
On area of education, he disclosed over 200 students have so far benefitted from his scholarship programme cut across in the six Local Government Areas of the zone, pointing out that palatable work in Ikwuano/Ikot Ekpene Federal highway currently in progress was made possible through his representation and that of the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia at the House of Representatives, Hon. Sam Onuigbo.
Other things, he said, include attracting electrification and motorised borehole, and the attraction of the attention of Senate on Prof. Maduike Ezeibe’s discovery on cure of HIV/AIDS, stating that the matter is now before the National Assembly for deliberation.
