Partnership: FG records successes in affordable housing

The Federal Government says it has recorded a lot of progress and successes in its partnership with organised private sector in providing mass, qualitative and affordable housing for Nigerians.
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Power and Housing, Mr Mohammed Bukar, stated this during the Permanent Secretaries Session at the 7th Meeting of the National Council on Land, Housing and Urban Development in Gombe on Wednesday.
The theme for this year’s meeting is “Provision of Affordable Housing: A Catalyst for Development and Sustainable Economic Development’’.
Mohammed was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Gombe State Ministry of Metropolitan and Urban Development, Mr Obel Yaji.
“The construction of houses under the National Housing Programme is made at achieving not only provision of affordable housing but also another avenue of employment generation for the army of unemployed youths across the country,” he said.
