The Vice-President, Professor Yem Osinbajo, has advised Nigerians to imbibe the principles of integrity for a quicker transformation of a decayed society like Nigeria.
He gave the advice while preaching at the just concluded World Christian Convention organized by the Full Gospel Men’s Fellowship International held in Abuja at the weekend. He said that every advise that would put a nation on a right footing has been prescribed by the Holy Bible.
The Vice President whose homily was entitled ‘Occupy Till I Come’, a theme derived from the book of St. Luke chapter 19, noted that the injunction is a mandate given to the children of God to hold forth in managing the and dominating the earth with directives given by Christ until he comes again.
In his words, “what God meant here, is for his children (disciples) on earth, to use the resources he gave to them and do exploit, while he is away. It is a mandate to ensure that the earth is thought about
principles of core values as prescribed by Jesus Christ.

He stressed that what Nigeria is suffering today, is because the Gospel of Christ is not being well
propagated and people are being told what they want to hear about, which prosperity and not salvation. “When the prevailing words are not preached, the Nation cannot be liberated from evil things and this is
the situation in our country today.”
He however noted that living the life of integrity for nations reformation, is a fundamental principle of the Gospel as means of prosperity. He said hard work and dedication to duty will also form the prevailing precept of a nation for proper development and not get rich by all dubious means “get rich quick syndrome.”
Prof Osinbajo stressed that Jesus, as a prevailing principle, shall be enshrined in the mind of every Nigeria to embrace transformation.
He explained that the crises that Nigeria is seeing today, has been viewed before the existence of the country and the only way out is the prevailing words as recommended by Christ.
“For us to be economically free, every sector of Nigerian Government must embrace the prevailing idea to excel. Today, we cannot say that the word of God has prevailed until the principle of core values and
norms and good principles are practiced all over the country.

I can tell you that what makes Nations great was thought by the Bible. And we should stop blaming other ethnic groups or religious groups for our woes.”
