OPC tackles ‘Cabals’ over Tinubu

The Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) has advised those it called “the cabals” in government to be wary of their alleged conspiracy against the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that “they should not treat Tinubu like the late businessman, Kashimawo Moshood Abiola.”
The National Coordinating Council of the OPC, in a statement issued by Comrade Adeshina Akinpelu, remarked that “no amount of calumny by this cabal will change the fact that Tinubu is a record breaker, whose feat will no doubt go down in history.”

It warned that the congress would forcefully resist any further attempt, from any quarters, to denigrate Tinubu, whom it described as “a proud son of Yorubaland.”
The statement said: “Since any attack on Tinubu or any other Yoruba leader is an attack on the entire Yoruba people, we will not take it lightly with anyone who tries to ridicule or bring our leaders down.
“With the revelation that came from Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, it is now very obvious that a certain cabal, comprising of Northern Fulani oligarchy, had hijacked the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“This cabal had not only succeeded in hijacking the apparatus of government, but are bent on seizing the structure of APC, which people like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his fellow team of progressives labored to build.
“The OPC is aware that this cabal believes that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the only threat, an obstacle to realization of their pernicious agenda. This cabal has equally succeeded in wining to their side some ‘Judas’ who would not have been where they are today if not for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.”
