Ondo Guber: Sheriff Hand Over PDP Flag To Jimoh Ibrahim

The factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Alimodu Sheriff, said the business mogul, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim is the authentic candidate of the party for the November 26, governorship election in Ondo State.

Sheriff stated this at the flagged off campaign of the party which took place at the Government Field, Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.

The PDP leaders at the event include national chairman, Alimodu Sheriff, deputy national chairman, Cario Ojuiagbo, Senator Hope Nzodima, Gambo Lawal, Ahmed Gulak, Chris Uba, Senator Victor Oyofo and Senator Buruji Kashamu.

Others are ambassador Dare Bejide, Senator Hosea Ehinlanwo, Senator Omololu Meroyi, Chief Makanjuola Ogundipe, Abiodun Aluko, Otunba Segun Adewale, Chief Williams Ajayi, Biyi Poroye, Bakita Bello, Emiola Dare and many others.

While handling over the flag of the party to Ibrahim at the campaign rally , the factional chairman urged the people of the state to troop out come November 26, to vote for Jimoh Ibrahim.

He said,  “Today, we have begun the journey. On November 23, I will come again to close the journey when we will have the grand finale of the campaign,” Sheriff said.

After receiving the party’s flag, Ibrahim promised to transform the state within a short time if elected governor.

He said, “I dedicate this flag to heaven. It is not good to be telling lies. Some people say we cannot flag off. But are they not telling lies? . Some people say we can’t enter Akure. Is that not a lie? Some people say we don’t have supporters. Are they not telling lies?

While reiterating his promise to pay all the salary arrears owed civil servants in the state as well as outstanding pensions, Ibrahim also promised that he would introduce boarding system in 100 public secondary schools within 100 days of his assumption of office.

His words: “Within 100 days in office, I will provide light in all communities that don’t have light in the state.All the Obas who have not be promoted will be promoted. There will be brand new cars for Obas within my 100 days in Office. Five percent of the federal allocation will be given to the Obas every month.

“I will take you away from poverty. I will take you away from hopelessness. I will take you away from injustice. All the three senatorial districts will be treated fairly. Only God can make anybody governor. But nobody knows how He will do it. I will revive Olokola Free Trade Zone. Ministry of Employment will be created. I will make sure Ondo is number one in the whole of the country.”
