Okowa to commission completed roads in Delta

As part of activities marking his administration’s one year in office, Delta State governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa, is expected to inaugurate over 12 newly- constructed roads.

Making this known during an inspection of road projects in the three senatorial districts of the state, the Commissioner for works, Mr. James Augoye, appealed to Deltans to support the developmental strides of the Okowa administration and maintain existing infrastructures.

He said that  Okowa needed the cooperation of all Deltans to sustain the existing peace and security given the recent bombing of pipelines in the riverine areas of the state, adding that such activities have had adverse effects on the already lean economy of the state and the country at large.
