Obiano’s security arrangement fast meeting int’l standard, says lawmaker

Chief Chukwuma Umeoji, Member, Federal House of Representatives, representing Aguata Constituency, has extolled Governor Willie Obiano’s security arrangement with special regards to the celebration season.
Umeoji made the observation at Aguata Local Government Area premises while inspecting his Constituency Free Medicare/Drug Awareness on December 30, 2019.

According to Umeoji, Governor has done well in every department of governance.
“When it comes to security, I personally lack the words to qualify his performance. So fantastic that it cannot be compared with any in Africa.
“The installation of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) at strategic locations; helicopter surveillance, are steps that have standardised security in Anambra State.
“We are happy enjoying the Yuletide even though sometimes one hears of pockets of criminality. It goes to show that it is not possible to achieve absolute free crime society.
“We cannot thank the Governor enough. We pray that God will continue to keep him in good health and sound wisdom to continue to give Ndi Anambra the best,” he added.
On the projects, Umeoji said: “We are carrying out constituency projects. It is a free medicare for all Aguata people, indigenes, strangers residing in Aguata, friends and people that come from neighbouring Local Government Areas.
“We are not discriminating. It is devoid of political party affiliations. So, whether you voted for me or not, you are entitled to free medicare here,’’ Umeoji said.
“We are also sensitising our youths on dangers of drug abuse. Drug destroys once it is abused sellers. As such, we will do everything within our reach in making our youths, drug peddlers and to understand dangers of drug abuse.
“We are planning Town Hall meetings to interact with Ndi Igwes, President’s-Generals (PGs), village heads, school heads, Churches to proffer better ways of handling drug issues in our locality’’.
Mr. Jonathan Okpalaezecha (Nnamoshimiri 11), Igwe of Akpo, who was present during the occasion said: “Umeoji did well when he was Executive Chairman, Aguata Local Government Area.
“So, electing him to represent us at the Federal House of Representatives is not accidental.
“It is an action that followed his antecedence. I am not surprised at what he is doing. I know he will do more even.
“I am only praying that God shall strengthen and protect him for us. He did well as Local Government Chairman. He is doing well as a Federal Representative.
“With God on our side, he will do well in bigger offices,’’ Igwe added.
